Visitors enjoy the fairy-tale scenery from the Charles Bridge in Prague skyline. Broad river flowing through the bottom of it, on both sides of the elegant building, by both sides. Prague castle towers above the prominence. Here, you are truly the center of the city.

Charles Bridge (Charles Bridge) in groups of people during the day. See sketches of street artists and musicians playing jazz, who is particularly interesting. But for a truly romantic and less crowded walk as far as possible in the early morning or at any time in the evening.

King Charles IV commissioned the bridge. Laid the cornerstone in 1357. Charles IV's favorite designers and builders, Peter Parler, is responsible for most of the work. The initial idea was to build a functional structure game against Cleveland, and for many years the only decoration on the bridge is a simple cross. Later, the desire of the Catholic Decorations, 30 statues erected between 1600 and 1800.

The statue on the 75-year-old Charles Bridge, but most copies, floods and disasters in the past centuries the original damage. Perhaps the most interesting, as well as the oldest, John Nepomuk (8th from the right as you cross the Prague Castle).

Charles Bridge entrance is marked at both ends of the tower: the Old Town Bridge Tower Bridge and cell towers.
